In the mid to late 1950s, watch styling was really hitting its stride. Just take a look at this handsome Benrus with a very subtle, silver gray dial. It has wonderfully curved lugs that accent the bold, round case. It measures 34 mm in diameter (not including the crown), by 40 mm lug to lug, by 9 mm thick (including the crystal). This was considered an oversize for the time period and is still quite bold today, even though the size parameters have gotten huge. The dial has skeletonized and lumed numerals, at the even numbers, while the odd positions have arrowhead applied gold markers. It is a great looking dial. While the numerals once glowed but they are all dark now. The case is yellow gold filled with a stainless steel back for wearing longevity. It has a seventeen jewel movement that is as nice as the case. It is in great shape... winding, setting, and telling time just as it did back in 1955... and for the price point, you can't go wrong.
